For $1, the same 134 acre farm "with the buildings thereon," being the northerly and larger portion of the Homestead Place "whereon William Thompson Esquire formerly lived," same exceptions, title from Book 198 Page 80. Dated May 28, 1889, but not recorded until 1896. The farm becomes "Jones Farm." On Nov. 16, 1896 Nathaniel R. Jones deeded his father back a small house lot on Tufts Lane, 85 by 70 by 50 feet, bounded in part "by wall of old house" (Book 279 Page 382), which was excepted from all later deeds.

For $1, the 134 acre farm "with the buildings thereon ... about half a mile easterly from the meeting house," the northerly and larger portion of the "Homestead Place" whereon William Thompson Esq. formerly lived, excepting the Crosby portion and the 1896 house lot (Book 279 Page 382). Dated March 14, 1912. A straw transfer: Nathaniel R. Jones deeded the farm to Martin the same day (Book 483 Page 277), putting title in his wife. Edith F. Jones later added a 150 by 328 foot lot southwest of the farm, about 285 feet south of Tufts Lane (1913, Book 513). The farm stayed in the Jones family for another 57 years and was carried on the assessors' list as the "Estate of Edith Jones, Tufts Lane" (Middlesex Probate 292825; Nathaniel R. Jones, 326627; Mary E. Jones, 403167).
